Reverse Power Protection

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
In the S.T logic in one of the power stations the reverse power is passed throught (And gate) with the Turbine trip and the O/P goes to open the GMCB(Generator Main Circuit Breaker) My question is why the turbine trip need to wait for the reverse power to open the GMCB?
is it possible to open the breaker with only the turbine trip and if the logic is O.k like this So why the turbine trip wait the reverse power to open the breaker.

This is to avoid wrong tripping of the GMCB during natural power swings between the network bus and the generator bus
