and I will represent some information to be useful for all
The goal of protection of turbine to put the turbine in stability region to avoid any damage for turbine or their accessories, so the protection based on the manufacturer and designer
So there are protection of turbine from manf , and other from designer as follow:
1-Temperature
the lube oil temperature is high high , in this point the oil will loss their a)characteristics , so may be damage the turbine
b) Sealing air temperature
C) exhaust temperature to avoid thermal stresses in the exhaust of turbine
D) Bearing temperature high high due to over temperature and to be in the stability region
2-Pressure
a)air intake differential pressure to avoid dust from air that will be enter the turbine
b) lube oil pressure low low to avoid ****l to ****l contact between bearing and turbine
C) Vacuum oil tank pressure low low to avoid any air inside the oil film that will damage the turbine
3-Vibration
the vibration in each bearing of turbine to avoid the damage of bearing of turbine
4- Over speed
to avoid over /under frequency in the generator
The protection that the designer inserted regarding to the software and controller, if the controller is missed the data or power supply as well as the bus communication between each system
